Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Funk Jou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alvaro Salazar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Salazar's choice of entrance music: Don Omar ft Tego Calderon - Bandolero. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salazar uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jou.
Jou misses with a looping right.
Jou throws a hook to the side of Salazar's head but Salazar sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Jou takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

and Salazar counters with a nice uppercut.
Salazar walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

It looks like Alvaro Salazar has been cut.

Jou gets caught napping as Salazar dives in and scores a takedown. Jou manages to retain guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Jou manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Jou has his opponent pinned against the ropes, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Salazar's face.

Jou knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Salazar on the ground.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Salazar had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jou defends it easily.
Jou postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Salazar controls Jou momentarily but Jou frees himself.
Jou wants to control from the top but Salazar keeps moving.
Jou is stalling in the full guard.
Salazar wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Salazar quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Jou has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Salazar celebrates on the ropes, with the crowd.
