Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Barney Sumner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ichabod Klopfenstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ichabod Klopfenstein struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.2lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klopfenstein throws a series of punches but Sumner avoids them all with ease.

and Klopfenstein counters with a flying knee. Nice.

Sumner is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Sumner connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Klopfenstein pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Sumner will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Klopfenstein has clasped his hands together around Sumner's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
A lull in the action here as Klopfenstein stalls from top position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Klopfenstein gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.
Klopfenstein connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Sumner to escape the position.
Sumner has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.

Klopfenstein scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Sumner is looking for a way out.
Klopfenstein lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Sumner.
Klopfenstein controlling the position well here. Sumner rolled but Klopfenstein kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Ichabod Klopfenstein has got the better of the ground game so far.
Klopfenstein is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Klopfenstein gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Klopfenstein gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Klopfenstein apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sumner takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Sumner throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ichabod Klopfenstein showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Sumner knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Klopfenstein on the ground.
Sumner has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Klopfenstein is proving hard to escape from.

Klopfenstein bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sumner's guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Klopfenstein 's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ichabod Klopfenstein was stalling too much, according to the referee.
