Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ip Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ip Man!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Joe White!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Chris Saunders and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Man gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Man is breathing heavily.
White wants to improve his position but Man is controlling well.
The fighters are battling for position here. White manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
White looking for a sweep. Not yet White, not yet.
White looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
White looking to hit a scissor sweep but Man is one step ahead there.
White is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, White creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Man managing to block the knees to the body from White.

Man gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
White looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
White seems keen to control Man's posture.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Man tries to free his leg and advance position but White is retaining full guard.

White pulls Man in close to prevent any damage.

Joe White has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
White tries to close the distance and clinch up but Man swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Joe White seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

White gets a clinch.
White pushes Man back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
White makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

White pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

White moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
White is looking to clinch but Man is avoiding it.

White has managed to clinch.
White works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

White manages to break the clinch.

White moves into the clinch successfully.
White tries a body shot but Man blocks it.

White breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
White wants to clinch up but Man keeps it at a distance.
White thuds his shin into the meat of Man's side.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

White closes the distance and pushes Man back into the cage.
White scores with a shot to the side of Man's head.
White taking a breather.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
White lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Man's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
White digs a right hand into Man's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Man's gas tank.
White lands a hook to the side of the head.


Man is rocked!
White is pushing Man up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

White breaks the clinch.

White has managed to clinch.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

White breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

White closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
White is struggling to control the position.

White tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

White closes the distance and clinches.
White lands a body shot.

White escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Joe White seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Man misses with an elbow over the top.

White's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

White clinches up with Man and pushes him back against the cage.
White throws an elbow but it misses.

White using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Man has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
White stalls.
White tries to land a knee to the head but Man blocks with his arms.

White stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
White softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
White gets through Man's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
White throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

White escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

White clinches.
White throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Mans head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
White misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Man.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
White gets through Man's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, White just misses with a elbow thrown towards Man's brow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joe White showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!

White fails in his attempt to clinch.
White cracks a nice hook into Man's ribs.
White tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Man manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Man gets tackled into the cage by White. White maintains the clinch.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
White lands with a short head shot on the inside.
White has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Man takes a shot to the head.
White lands with a left to the head.
White lands a nice shot to the body.
A nice right hand lands inside from White.
Oh Man is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

White pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

White rushes Man and presses him up against the cage.
White lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
White lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Man.
White taking a breather.

White lands an uppercut.
White lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Man to his knees! White keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joe White!
Joe White was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
