Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tanto Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Daniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tanto Khan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Robert Daniels!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Joseph Jones and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Daniels gets a clinch.

Khan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Daniels tries to score a power double leg takedown but Khan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Daniels somewhat.
Robert Daniels seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Daniels moves into the clinch.

Khan manages to break the clinch.
Khan misses with a straight left.
Daniels fails with an attempt to clinch.
Daniels scores with a nice strike.
Daniels looks for a takedown but Khan sprawls well.
Khan dodges the punch combination from Daniels.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Daniels fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Tanto Khan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robert Daniels.

Khan tries to bum rush Daniels with a series of wild strikes but Daniels uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Khan fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Daniels.
The crowd cheers as Khan lands an impressive looking overhand right. Daniels doesn't seem phased though.
Daniels throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Khan sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Khan circles away from the clinch attempt.
Daniels fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Khan lands a nice leg kick that just misses Daniels's sensitive parts.

Daniels tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Khan swivels and escapes.
Khan is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Daniels.
Khan works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Tanto Khan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Khan lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.


Daniels is rocked!
Daniels lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Nice straight punches there by Khan. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Khan.
Daniels is still on wobbly legs! Can Khan finish him?

Daniels throws a hook to the side of Khan's head but Khan sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Daniels seems to have recovered his senses.
Daniels misses the jab.
Daniels looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Khan is fending him off so far but Daniels persists. Nope, Khan circles away and we're back to standing.
Khan dips to his left and cracks Daniels with an uppercut!
Khan cracks Daniels with a right hand to the side of the head.

Oooooh!!! Khan has knocked Daniels down with a huge combo! Khan steps away and waves a wobbly Daniels back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Daniels shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Khan as he avoids it easily.
Khan lands with a nice body punch.
Khan scores with a punch to the head.
Khan looks to land a combination but Daniels avoids it well.
Daniels uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Khan.
Daniels tries to move into range but Khan moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Daniels misses with a few strikes there.

Khan drops Daniels with a beautiful combination! Daniels stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Khan is looking for the KO!
Khan throws a head kick but Daniels moves out of range.

A looping hook to the body misses from Khan. Daniels does a little dance to reset his feet.

Khan ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Daniels is trying desperately to land a takedown but Khan is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Daniels.

Khan looks for the body kick but Daniels saw that one coming.
Daniels tries to clinch there but Khan circles away.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Khan, right into the meat.

Khan connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Daniels throws a series of punches but Khan moves out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Khan throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Daniels's head.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Daniels's jab looks to have found its range, popping Khan under the eye.
Daniels tries to clinch but Khan moves away
and Khan makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Khan throws out a loose jab but Daniels uses good head movement to avoid it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Khan's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Daniels takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Khan connects with a leg kick. Daniels looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Daniels looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Daniels drops his hands momentarily and Khan takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Daniels is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Khan works the jab nicely.
Khan scores with a sloppy right hand. Daniels should have avoided that one.

Daniels might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Khan throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Khan is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Daniels can do to turn this around?

Daniels will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Khan ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
No luck for Daniels with that takedown attempt.
Khan lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Khan lands with a nice combination. Daniels backs away looking to recover.
Daniels missing with a left hand there. Khan was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Khan loads up on a big right hand but Daniels slips the punch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Daniels throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Khan's waist but Khan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Daniels off to one side.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Daniels shoots in for a takedown but Khan shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Khan stuns Daniels with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Khan slips a straight right by Daniels.
Daniels tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Khan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Daniels takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Khan leaves Daniels with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Khan comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Khan bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Daniels's head backwards.
Khan misses with a series of wild punches.
Khan lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Daniels backs up against the cage.
Khan cracks Daniels with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Khan lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Daniels circles away quickly and effectively.
Daniels shoots in and drives through. Khan sprawls well.
Daniels takes one on the button.
Daniels takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Khan throws a leg kick which misses Daniels's front leg but catches the back leg as Daniels tries to avoid it.
Khan throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Daniels.
Khan lands with a hook. Daniels tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Danga de danga de dang - Khan scores with a four punch combination!
Daniels lands a jab to the nose.
Daniels's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Daniels swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Daniels has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Khan throws the left hand but Daniels avoids the punch easily.
Daniels lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Daniels.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Khan, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
