Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kamikaze Kid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shane Liddell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kamikaze Kid!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liddell misses with a takedown attempt - Kid sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Danga de danga de dang - Liddell scores with a four punch combination!
Kid shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Liddell but Liddell pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Liddell lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Kid at a distance.
Kid closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kid lands in his opponent's guard.
Kid drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kid jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Kidis looking to pass into half guard but Liddell pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Liddell is in guard.
Kid looking for a sweep. Not yet Kid, not yet.
Liddell lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Liddell lands a couple of digs.
Kid working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Liddell doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Liddell manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Kid has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Liddell can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Liddell trying to stand up but can't free himself from Kid's guard.
Liddell gets to his feet. Kid looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Liddell instigates a clinch.
Kid has Liddell pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Liddell manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Kid has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Liddell after a bit of a struggle.
Shane Liddell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kamikaze Kid.
Liddell breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Liddell shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Liddell connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
It looks like Kamikaze Kid has been cut.

Kid tries to reverse the position but Liddell maintains control.

Kid is wriggling around trying to escape.
Liddell connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Kamikaze Kid's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Kamikaze Kid's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Shane Liddell!
