Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yukii Ogata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Turu Ropuia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ogata comes to the cage accompanied by Eminem - Not Afraid. Turu Ropuia will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Turu Ropuia!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Damien Edna and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ogata bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Ogata is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ropuia is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Ropuia tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Ogata tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Ogata wants to control but Ropuia is keeping him busy.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Ropuia is trying to control Ogata's posture but Ogata avoids it.
Ropuia is looking to regain half guard here but Ogata keeps moving and retains side control.

Ropuia shoots in for a takedown but Ogata shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

and Ogata counters with a shoot takedown. Ropuia fights it but they end up in guard.

Ogata working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Ropuia is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Ogata has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Ropuia taps out!
