Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Julius Naginata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Downey McCain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McCain is looking to clinch but Naginata is avoiding it.
A chopping leg kick lands by Naginata.

and Naginata counters with a one-two to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McCain bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Naginata's head backwards.
Naginata takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Naginata wants to land a leg kick but McCain is out of range.
McCain moves in looking to clinch but Naginata pushes him off.
McCain misses with a kick to the body.
McCain wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
A head kick misses from Naginata.
Naginata fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but McCain is out of range.
Naginata misses with a looping left.
McCain misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
McCain avoids a punch combination nicely.

McCain pushes Naginata up against the cage in a clinch.
McCain misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Naginata misses with a short punch on the inside.
Naginata blocks an uppercut.
A frustrated look appears on Naginata's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Naginata throws a head punch that misses.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
McCain lands a nice uppercut.

Naginata has had enough of the clinch but McCain keeps him there for the moment.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, McCain creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

McCain throws a big uppercut that drops Naginata! More strikes from McCain and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Naginata lies dazed against the cage as McCain celebrates with his cornermen!
