Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gustavo Koenig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ray Stone will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stone fails with a takedown attempt.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Stone is defended easily by Koenig.
The fighters circling - Koenig throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Koenig.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Stone might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Koenig kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Koenig is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Stone's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Stone's back!

Koenig has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Koenig is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Stone knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Stone for a finish.

Koenig is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Stone is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Stone is trying to drag Koenig to the mat but Koenig just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Stone dives in and grabs Koenig's left leg, looking for a takedown. Koenig pushes down on Stone's head and hops out.
Stone shoots in looking for a takedown. Koenig tries to sprawl out of it but Stone keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Koenig manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Koenig shoots for a double leg takedown but Stone sprawls well. He's pushed Koenig's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Koenig shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Stone's guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Gustavo Koenig will probably get the nod.

Koenig changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stone tries to avoid it but Koenig manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stone to the ground. Stone escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Koenig is trying hard to land a takedown here. Stone sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
