Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Coalman Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Frank Mir has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mir shoots in and drives through. Gracie sprawls well.
Mir misses with a head kick.

Gracie throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mir was covering up waiting for the punch and Gracie finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Mir wants to sweep but no luck.
Mir keeping moving, preventing Gracie from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gracie is fighting to break Mir's control of his arms but Mir is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Mir throws a series of punches but Gracie avoids them all with ease.

Mir has closed the distance and engaged Gracie in a clinch.
Mir tries to land a knee to the head but Gracie blocks with his arms.
Gracie tries to pull guard but Mir holds him up against the cage and eventually Gracie drops back down to his feet.
Mir tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Gracie has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Mir is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Mir is looking to control Gracie's arms but Gracie gets an underhook and turns him. Now Mir has his back to the cage.
Gracie drops down looking for an ankle pick but Mir pulls his leg out and moves away.
Frank Mir has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Coalman Gracie.
Some bone on bone action there as Gracie checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Coalman Gracie hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Gracie shoots for a double leg takedown but Mir sprawls well. He's pushed Gracie's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
