The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gaston lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Gaston takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Poniatowski blocks a head kick by Gaston.
Poniatowski looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Gaston cracks Poniatowski with a good jab.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gaston fails in his attempt to clinch.
Gaston is looking to land body kicks.
Gaston throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Gaston takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Nick Gaston has been cut.
Poniatowski blocks the body kick.
Poniatowski has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Gaston.
A chopping leg kick lands by Gaston.
Poniatowski throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A head kick misses from Poniatowski.
Gaston ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Poniatowski moves away.
Poniatowski lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gaston circles away quickly and effectively.
Gaston throws a one two combo.
Gaston throws a sloppy head kick and Poniatowski moves out of range easily.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Gaston lands a big head kick that sends Poniatowski tumbling to the mat! Gaston takes a step backwards and waves Poniatowski back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Bazyli Poniatowski has been cut.
Poniatowski throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Poniatowski lands a big shot that drops Gaston! Can he finish him?

Gaston is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Poniatowski passes Gaston's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Gaston is still in real trouble! Can Poniatowski finish him?
Poniatowski seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Poniatowski escapes and gets back to his feet.

Poniatowski shoots in for a takedown. He's got it... He's hoisted his opponent over his head and is carrying him over to the other end of the mat. The crowd roars in approval and Poniatowski slams his opponent to the mat. OH, that is naaaaaasty! He's out! Poniatowski lands a punch to his unconscious victim for good measure before the ref has time to call the fight.
