Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James Miller has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Mir!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Miller!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mir fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Miller lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Mir has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Mir and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Mir feints and as Miller raises his hands in defense, Mir changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Mir has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Mir wants to get up but he can't break Miller's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Mir shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
James Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Miller fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Miller throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Mir moves forwards but Miller connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Mir tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Miller paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Miller stuffs the takedown attempt from Mir. Mir gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Mir. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Miller throws a low kick, looking for Mir's leg but Mir calmly moves out of range.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Miller tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Mir is able to avoid easily.

Mir shoots in for a double leg but Miller sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
