Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kendon Martindale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Toomas Ilves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Martindale comes into the arena with Who Am I blaring out of the sound system. Ilves has chosen Military Soviet Hymn as his entrance music. Toomas Ilves will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ilves changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Martindale tries to avoid it but Ilves manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Martindale to the ground. Martindale escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ilves gets caught flat footed, as Martindale shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Martindale in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Martindale trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Ilves has his foot on Martindale's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Martindale works his way back into a safe position though.
Ilves is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Ilves wants to sweep here but Martindale controlling him for the moment.
Martindale with a flurry of punches that miss.
Ilves working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Martindale doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Ilves is tightening it up a little... Martindale has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Martindale reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Martindale taps out! nice BJJ there by Ilves!
