Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chael Sonnen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Project XxX (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Project XxX will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Ackerman and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
XxX lands a front kick.
XxX wants to clinch
and Sonnen counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
XxX is trying to maintain the position but Sonnen is very close to passing his half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sonnen thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed XxX's head.
XxX is looking to control Sonnen's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can XxX avoid being mounted?
Sonnen tries to pass to full mount but XxX defends it.

Sonnen stands and steps away. XxX gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Sonnen closes the distance and clinches up with XxX, looking for a takedown. Sonnen pushes XxX against the cage but XxX circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Sonnen shoots in looking for a takedown. XxX tries to sprawl out of it but Sonnen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. XxX manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Sonnen blocks a head kick by XxX.
Sonnen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Sonnen chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before XxX can pounce on him.

XxX tries to clinch but Sonnen moves out of range.
XxX throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Sonnen crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from XxX - the referee stops the clock and Sonnen gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says XxX. Sonnen manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
XxX thuds his shin into the meat of Sonnen's side.
XxX lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Sonnen will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sonnen takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

XxX feints and then cracks Sonnen's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sonnen down.
Sonnen steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from XxX. That one must have hurt.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Sonnen has XxX pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. XxX manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
XxX creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Sonnen's defenses.

Sonnen is pressed against the cage. XxX pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts Sonnen! Two more big strikes from XxX and Sonnen crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Project XxX!
Project XxX spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
