Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Samuel De Lucas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Vicent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). De Lucas comes to the cage accompanied by Apaga mais não bate. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Samuel De Lucas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Victor Vicent!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Alexandre Firmino and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vicent doesn't manage to clinch there - De Lucas circles away.
Good work by Vicent as he checks the leg kick.

De Lucas is trying to trip Vicent. He has hold of a leg but Vicent is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. De Lucas persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

De Lucas is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Vicent to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Vicent shrugs it off.

De Lucas is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Vicent has managed to escape the submission attempt.

De Lucas is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Vicent has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Vicent!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
De Lucas bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Vicent's guard.

De Lucas is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Vicent wants to sweep here but De Lucas controlling him for the moment.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Vicent thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Vicent really doesn't want to stay on the ground with De Lucas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

and Vicent counters with a nice kick to the body.
De Lucas moves in looking to clinch but Vicent pushes him off.

Vicent moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

and De Lucas counters with a low kick, right behind Vicent 's knee.
De Lucas misses with a low kick as Vicent jumps back.
De Lucas avoids a kick to the body.
Vicent moves out of range of the leg kick from De Lucas.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Vicent checks a leg kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Vicent tries to keep at a distance but De Lucas has taken the fight into the clinch.

De Lucas can't find room to land a body shot as Vicent controls the action.

De Lucas turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
De Lucas is looking to take a break and control but Vicent is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Vicent is looking for a sweep.
De Lucas slows the pace down.
Vicent is trying to control De Lucas's posture but De Lucas avoids it.

Samuel De Lucas overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

De Lucas has control of Vicent's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Vicent regains control of the situation pretty easily.

De Lucas is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Vicent has managed to escape the submission attempt.

De Lucas working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Vicent looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by De Lucas! Submission of the night perhaps?

After the fight, Samuel De Lucas was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
