The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Noah gets caught napping as Rustem dives in and scores a takedown. Noah manages to retain guard.
Rustem pushing down on Noah's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Noah is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Rustem thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Noah's head.

Rustem slows the pace down in half guard.
Rustem uses his free foot to push down on Noah's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Noah.
Rustem tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Noah holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Rustem tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Rustem throws a head kick that Noah semi-blocks.
Noah looks for a takedown but Rustem sprawls well.

Rustem takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Noah looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!

Noah rolls, trying to escape but Rustem keeps control of the position.
Noah is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Rustem is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Noah knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Noah for a finish.
Noah is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Rustem looking for a guillotine from mount but Noah is having none of it.

Noah is squirming around, avoiding Rustem's attempts to control the action.
Noah sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Rustem tries to stand and escape but Noah is controlling the position.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Rustem in particular looking to stall.
Noah has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Rustem. Oh but Noah has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Rustem goes limp - he's gone! Noah jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
