Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Thord Grimhildr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sattori Henzo!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Taro Takaoka and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henzo tries to close the distance and clinch but Grimhildr swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Decent striking displayed by Grimhildr there.
It looks like Sattori Henzo has been cut.
Henzo tries to clinch but Grimhildr moves out of range.
Grimhildr lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Henzo wants to clinch up but Grimhildr keeps it at a distance.
Grimhildr misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Grimhildr bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Henzo! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
Henzo is rocked!
Henzo is looking for a triangle but Grimhildr pushes his legs off easily.
Henzo is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Grimhildr lands a couple of elbows.
That has opened up Sattori Henzo's cut even more.
Henzo throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Henzo tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Henzo is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Grimhildr is aware though and is defending well.
Grimhildr with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
The cut above Sattori Henzo's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Grimhildr wants to control from the top but Henzo keeps moving.
Grimhildr postures up.
Henzo wants to sweep but no luck.
Henzo thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Grimhildr trying to control the position from guard on top but Henzo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Thord Grimhildr has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Grimhildr shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Henzo pinned against the cage. Henzo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Nice uppercut there from Grimhildr.
Sattori Henzo's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Sattori Henzo's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Thord Grimhildr!
