Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Pablo Escobar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clydell Dexler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Escobar comes to the cage accompanied by Tech N9ne - Am I A Psycho ft. B.o.B., Hopsin . Dexler is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Thats not what your momma said, oh snap!- Dr. House. Clydell Dexler is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pablo Escobar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Clydell Dexler!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Reed Andrews and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Escobar throws a body punch but Dexler moves out of range.
Dexler misses with a low kick.
Escobar shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dexler defends it nicely.
Dexler scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Escobar walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Escobar ducks under a wild hook from Dexler.
Escobar avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Dexler throws a body punch but Escobar moves out of range.
Dexler keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A left lands for Dexler.

Escobar uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Dexler.
Dexler takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

A nice combination there by Dexler.
Escobar bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Dexler scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Dexler takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Dexler gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Escobar to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Escobar wants to control from the top but Dexler keeps moving.
Dexler seems keen to control Escobar's posture.

Dexler really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Escobar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Dexler might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Escobar kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

OK we're going to have a standup here. Clydell Dexler hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Escobar throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Dexler tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Escobar is in Dexler's guard.

Escobar pushes down on Dexler's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Escobar has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dexler can do anything to dispel that myth.

Escobar working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Dexler tries to lock up and control but Escobar gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Escobar is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Dexler is surviving well by controlling Escobar's body position as best he can.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dexler tries to reverse the position but Escobar maintains control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Escobar jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Dexler manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Dexler takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Escobar throws a leg kick but Dexler sees it coming and moves out of range.

A looping hook to the body misses from Escobar. Dexler does a little dance to reset his feet.
Escobar lands a leg kick that knocks Dexler off balance momentarily.
Dexler thuds his right hand into Escobar's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Escobar bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Escobar shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dexler as he jumps to the side.
Dexler missing with a left hand there. Escobar was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Escobar takes a swing at Dexler's ribcage but misses.
Dexler bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Escobar's head backwards.
Escobar moves away from the strike by Dexler.
Escobar walks into a stiff left hand from Dexler.
Clydell Dexler seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Good work by Escobar as he checks the leg kick.
Dexler defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Escobar.
Dexler lands a jab.
Dexler throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Escobar on the side of the head.
Escobar throws a hook to the side of Dexler's head but Dexler sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Dexler has a couple of punches blocked by Escobar.
Dexler lands a nice uppercut.
Dexler makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Dexler lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Escobar.
Escobar doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Escobar lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Escobar is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
BOOM! Escobar connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Escobar pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Escobar working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Dexler looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Escobar! Submission of the night perhaps?

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Pablo Escobar!
After the fight, Pablo Escobar was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
