Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Phillip Pirrup!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Twisted Insane!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Insane drives through and clinches with Pirrup against the cage.
Pirrup is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Insane to keep the fight standing.

Insane breaks the clinch.
Pirrup takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
A nice combination there by Insane.
Pirrup shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Insane sprawls well. Insane wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pirrup gets slowly back to his feet.
Pirrup shoots in for a takedown but Insane shows good takedown defense.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Phillip Pirrup. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Insane throws a one two combo.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Insane cracks Pirrup with an open hand slap.

Pirrup takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Insane stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Insane wants it to stay on the feet.

No luck for Pirrup with that takedown attempt.
Insane scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Pirrup throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Insane's waist but Insane gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pirrup off to one side.
Pirrup shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Insane defends it nicely.
Insane lands a nice hook to Pirrup's body. Pirrup takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Insane lands a really nice looking cross but Pirrup seems unphased.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Insane clinches up with Pirrup and pushes him back against the cage.

Insane's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Insane closes the distance and pushes Pirrup back into the cage.

Insane stops a takedown attempt from Pirrup.
Insane misses with an elbow over the top.

Insane gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Insane sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Pirrup defending well though.
Insane thows a huge punch but Pirrup dodges it nicely.
Insane wants to control but Pirrup is keeping him busy.
Insane keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Pirrup wants to control but Insane is keeping busy.
Insane trying to control the action but Pirrup is working from the bottom.
Insane wants to stand up but Pirrup has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Twisted Insane has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Insane throws a one two combo.
Insane lands with a nice body punch.
Phillip Pirrup seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Insane is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Pirrup looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Insane really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pirrup. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Insane wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Pirrup manages to pass to side control.

Pirrup seems to be working for a kimura but Insane defends the submission attempt.
Pirrup looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Pirrup perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Pirrup is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Insane doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Pirrup.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Pirrup is controlling the pace.
Insane wants to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Twisted Insane dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Insane tries to clinch there but Pirrup circles away.
Insane slaps away a takedown attempt from Pirrup, before circling back to the center of the mat.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Pirrup.
Pirrup misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Phillip Pirrup. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pirrup tries for a takedown but Insane sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Pirrup fails with the takedown.

Insane drives through and clinches with Pirrup against the cage.

Insane turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Insane manages to end up in side control.
Pirrup parries the strikes from Insane easily there. Insane is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Pirrup to escape.

Pirrup is trying to control Insane's posture but Insane avoids it.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Insane. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Pirrup is looking to regain half guard here but Insane keeps moving and retains side control.
Insane wants to stand but Pirrup is controlling his arm.
Insane working the ground and pound but Pirrup is defending the strikes.
Pirrup is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Insane off and has taken his back!
Pirrup lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Insane looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Insane controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
Insane is breathing heavily.
Pirrup scores with punches and elbows.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Insane wants to get back to his feet.
Insane is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Pirrup.

Pirrup has his arm under Insane's chin here. Game over son! Pirrup squeezes tightly and Insane is forced to tap out!
