The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopez gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Lopez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Khan tries to avoid it but Lopez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Khan to the ground. Khan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Lopez changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Khan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Lopez tries for a kimura but Khan is defending well.

Lopez is trying to get an arm triangle but Khan is defending well.
Lopez tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lopez is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Khan is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Khan tries to bench press Lopez off him but Lopez keeps the position.

Lopez is trying to move to mount but Khan reverses beautifully and ends up in Lopez's guard.

Khan stands and steps away. Lopez gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Khan scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Genghis Khan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A looping hook to the body misses from Lopez. Khan does a little dance to reset his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Khan cracks Lopez with a hook to the temple - Lopez is on wobbly legs here! Khan swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Lopez falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Khan wins by TKO!
