The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beatdown with a jab.
Beatdown slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Janowicz dives in and scores a takedown into Beatdown's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Janowicz throws a big elbow that misses.
Beatdown looking to hit a scissor sweep but Janowicz is one step ahead there.
Beatdown knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Janowicz on the ground.

Janowicz drops back looking for a leg! Beatdown is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Beatdown manages to kick Janowicz off! Janowicz jumps back into Beatdown's guard.

Janowicz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Beatdown swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Janowicz drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Janowicz jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Janowicz is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Beatdown is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
