With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joseph Hooker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Klay Bragee!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the body from Hooker misses

and Bragee holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Bragee just leaning against Hooker, taking a breather.
Bragee tries a body shot but Hooker blocks it.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Bragee presses Hooker against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Bragee lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.


It looks like Joseph Hooker has been cut.
Bragee works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Bragee cracks Hooker with a nice body shot.

Bragee lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bragee wants to free his trapped foot but Hooker is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bragee decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hooker looks to land a combination but Bragee avoids it well.
Hooker lands a two punch combo.


It looks like Klay Bragee has been cut.
Joseph Hooker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bragee gets a clinch.
Still in the clinch, Bragee scores with a nice short uppercut.
Bragee holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Hooker wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Bragee has him pressed against the cage.
Bragee is struggling to control the position.
Bragee continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.
A frustrated look appears on Hooker's face as he tries to break the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hooker wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bragee lands with a light punch inside.

Bragee drags the fight down to the ground.
Hooker advances to half guard.
Hooker is pressing down on Bragee's thigh, looking to free his foot. Bragee is holding on for now.
Bragee looks like he's trying to stand up.
Hooker looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Hooker passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Bragee!
Bragee is trying to reverse the position but instead Hooker has taken his back - oops!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bragee trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hooker looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! Bragee taps!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Joseph Hooker!
