Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lionel Lucas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Day Bright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bright has chosen I'll House You as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lucas throws a right hand that Bright ducks under and follows up with a left that Bright also avoids with ease.
Bright slips a jab and a cross from Lucas.
Bright fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Bright throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

It looks like Lionel Lucas has been cut.
A cross from Lucas lands.
Bright misses with the combination.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bright tries to clinch up.
Lucas throws a shot from downtown. Bright moves away and avoids it.
Bright shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lucas but Lucas pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Bright counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lucas won't be happy with that.

Bright decides to stand up, so the ref orders Lucas to his feet.
Lucas thows a left - swing and a miss!

Lucas throws out a loose jab but Bright uses good head movement to avoid it.
Lucas looks to land a combination but Bright avoids it well.
Lucas swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Nice takedown defense from Lucas. No joy for Bright on that attempt.
Lionel Lucas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Day Bright.
Lucas swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Bright counters with a shoot takedown. Lucas fights it but they end up in guard.
Bright advances position into side control!
Lucas trying his best to control but Bright has mounted him.
Bright takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Lucas knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bright on the ground.
It looks like Bright might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lucas is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Bright gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Lucas throws a jab but it's blocked by Bright.
Bright tries for a takedown but Lucas sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Lucas falls off balance throwing a combination
and Bright counters with a left and a right that stings Lucas.
Lucas swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Bright counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Lucas thinking.
Bright showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Lucas.

Bright moves into the clinch.

Lucas tries to pull guard but Bright forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Lucas trying to control the position but instead, Bright has worked for underhooks and has pushed Lucas into the cage.
Bright is trying to pull guard but Lucas has him pressed against the cage.
Bright has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Lucas is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Lucas is trying to pull guard but Bright turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Lucas just leaning against Bright, taking a breather.
Lucas jumps guard but Bright stands there with Lucas around his waist. Lucas gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Bright's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bright shoots in looking for a takedown. Lucas tries to sprawl out of it but Bright keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lucas manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bright slips a jab and a cross from Lucas.
Lucas throws a left and a right that both miss
and Bright counters with a left right combination that sends Lucas crashing to the mat - Bright wastes no time in diving on top of him and pounding Lucas out for a TKO! Devastating finish!
