Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Broozer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ricky Broozer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jeff Jones!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Viktor Lagutenko and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Broozer fails with the takedown
and Jones counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Jones clinches.

Jones breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Broozer closes the distance and clinches.
Broozer is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Jones to keep the fight standing.

Broozer trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Jones is looking for a triangle but Broozer pushes his legs off easily.

Jones bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Broozer's guard.
Broozer can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jones controls the pace.
Jones is pushing down on Broozer's leg trying to pass to half guard. Broozer is fighting to maintain full guard but Jones has managed to sneak the leg through.
Jones throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Jones is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Broozer has managed to free his arm - good work.
Broozer is looking to escape.

Jones stands up and beckons Broozer to join him on the feet.

Jones shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Broozer is trying to defend but Jones finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Broozer is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Jones dives into side control.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Broozer jumps guard but Jones turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Broozer has a takedown stuffed.
Broozer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Broozer tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jones smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ricky Broozer. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jones instigates a clinch.

Jones jumps guard and drags Broozer to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Broozer wants to get up but he can't break Jones's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Jones has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Broozer off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

A head kick misses from Jones.

Jones has managed to clinch.
Jones throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Broozers head.
Broozer drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A frustrated look appears on Broozer's face as he tries to break the clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jones decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Jones seems to be looking for submissions.

Broozer shoots in for a double leg but Jones sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Jones throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Jeff Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Broozer gets tackled into the cage by Jones. Jones maintains the clinch.

Jones wants the takedown. Broozer is fighting it off but Jones persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Broozer's guard against the cage.

Broozer gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jones to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Jones stands up from Broozer's guard - Jones perhaps looking for a knockout.
Broozer tries for a takedown but Jones sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Jones shoots in and bounces Broozer off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Jones lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Jones tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Broozer is looking to improve his position but Jones isn't that keen on the idea.

Let's hope that Jones has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
