Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Josh Kirkland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rickson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kirkland might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to My Life Be Like- by GRITS. Silva has chosen system of a down - violent pornography as his entrance music. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kirkland drops his hands momentarily and Silva takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Kirkland throws a lazy right hand but Silva sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Silva connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kirkland. Kirkland circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Kirkland closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
