Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between James Laurent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Myers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Laurent comes to the cage accompanied by Megadeth - Symphony of Destruction. Myers has chosen Halloween Theme as his entrance music. Michael Myers has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Myers misses with a hook
and Laurent counters with a left to the body.
Myers swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Myers takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Laurent misses with a straight left.
Laurent scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Myers doesn't seem bothered though.
Myers rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Laurent moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

James Laurent has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Myers.
No joy there for Myers, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That was a close round but I would say that James Laurent will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Myers fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Laurent sprawls well initially but Myers persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
