Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tomasz Drwal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Angel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drwal's entrance music is Nightwish Crimson Tide . A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tomasz Drwal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Frank Angel!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Radbod Blank and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drwal has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Angel finds it's way round the side to connect with Drwal's head.
Drwal uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Angel.

Angel closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Drwal preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

Angel is working for a kimura but Drwal is defending it quite comfortably.

Angel is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Angel tries to pass to full mount but Drwal defends it.

Angel prevents Drwal from improving his position.

Angel goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Drwal is on top in guard.

Angel manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Angel looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Drwal is squirming around, avoiding Angel's attempts to control the action.

Angel working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Drwal tries to hold on but Angel pushes him away.

Angel wants to finish this one by submission but Drwal is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Angel.

Angel has control of Drwal's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Drwal regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Drwal is trying to escape the mount.
Drwal throwing hammer fists to the chest of Angel. What's that going to do exactly?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Drwal really wants to buck Angel off and get back to his feet.
Angel in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Angel avoids the attempt from Drwal to control.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Drwal fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Angel checks it well.
Drwal missing with a left hand there. Angel was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Angel throws a hook but Drwal avoids it easily.
Drwal fails with an attempt to clinch.

Drwal is looking to clinch but Angel is avoiding it.
Angel swings for the body but Drwal moves out of range.
Drwal fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Angel manages to avoid it.
Drwal takes one to the chin there.
Drwal connects with a crisp jab.

Angel throws a jab but it's blocked by Drwal.

A looping hook to the body misses from Angel. Drwal does a little dance to reset his feet.
Angel shoots in and drives through. Drwal sprawls well.
Drwal ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Drwal wants to clinch up but Angel keeps it at a distance.
Angel fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Drwal manages to avoid it.
Angel avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Drwal fails with an attempt to clinch.
Angel connects with a body shot that sends Drwal's belly button to the back.
Drwal moves in looking to clinch but Angel pushes him off.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Drwal.
Angel blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Drwal lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Angel wants to break the clinch but can't.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Angel is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Drwal to keep the fight standing.
Drwal utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Angel tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Tomasz Drwal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Angel.
Angel working some nice short punches in the clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Drwal stalling in the clinch but Angel improves position.
Drwal gets underhooks to prevent Angel's takedown attempt.

Drwal breaks the clinch.
Angel on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Drwal scores with a nice right hand.
Drwal throws a leg kick but Angel sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Angel shoots in looking for a takedown. Drwal tries to sprawl out of it but Angel keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Drwal manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Angel shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Angel prevents Drwal from getting the reversal.

Drwal has left one of his arms exposed and Angel doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Drwal screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Frank Angel!
A pretty intense looking Frank Angel took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
