The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nye tries for a takedown but Tong Panong sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Nye ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Nye no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Nye pushes Tong Panong off and scrambles back to his feet.

It looks like Marc Tong Panong has been cut.
Tong Panong jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Nye walks away with a smile on his face. Tong Panong gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nye is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Tong Panong rolls with it to try and escape but Nye cranks on the arm and Tong Panong is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
