Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carl McGenzy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ethan Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ethan Harris!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harris looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Harris looks to land a body kick but McGenzy moved away.
Harris looks to land a left hand but McGenzy moved out of range nicely.
McGenzy avoids a punch combination nicely.
Harris scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
McGenzy shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Harris defends it nicely.
Harris lands with a nice body kick.

Harris swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Harris scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Harris throws a sloppy head kick and McGenzy moves out of range easily.
McGenzy misses with a takedown attempt
and Harris counters with a series of strikes. McGenzy will be more careful next time no doubt.
McGenzy has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Harris finds it's way round the side to connect with McGenzy's head.
Harris throws a sloppy head kick and McGenzy moves out of range easily.
McGenzy keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Harris.
Harris fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Harris thows a body shot but no joy.
Harris takes a swing at McGenzy's ribcage but misses.
McGenzy has a takedown stuffed.

Harris rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McGenzy moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

McGenzy closes this distance looking for a takedown but Harris circles away.
Harris throws a sloppy head kick and McGenzy moves out of range easily.
Harris tries to bum rush McGenzy with a series of wild strikes but McGenzy uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for McGenzy. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
McGenzy has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
McGenzy ducks right into an uppercut from Harris.
Harris throws a right hand that McGenzy ducks under and follows up with a left that McGenzy also avoids with ease.
Harris throws a wild body kick that McGenzy sees coming a mile off.
Harris throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

McGenzy avoids a punch combination nicely.
Harris misses with a few strikes there.
Harris is breathing heavily.
Harris misses with a few strikes there.
Harris misses with a double jab.
Harris is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Jab, jab by Harris - just one landing.
Harris lands with a nice body punch.
McGenzy drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

McGenzy misses with a takedown attempt
and Harris counters with a left and a right that stings McGenzy.
Harris throws a combination. McGenzy tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Harris lands an overhand right.
Harris has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
A combination from Harris does no damage.

and Harris counters with an inside leg kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carl McGenzy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Harris stuns McGenzy with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A lazy left from Harris finds it's target.
Harris has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

McGenzy shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Harris napping and manages to drive through into side control!

McGenzy tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

McGenzy thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Harris tries to escape but McGenzy is in control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ethan Harris showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


McGenzy closes the distance and clinches up with Harris, looking for a takedown. McGenzy pushes Harris against the cage but Harris circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Harris lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Harris throws a right and a left that McGenzy avoids nicely.
McGenzy shoots in and drives through. Harris sprawls well.
Harris changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

McGenzy walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Harris misses with the combination.
McGenzy takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
McGenzy takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Harris fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McGenzy manages to avoid it.
McGenzy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Harris's waist but Harris gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McGenzy off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carl McGenzy. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Harris misses with a wild combination.
Carl McGenzy is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Harris misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
McGenzy takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Harris lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
McGenzy takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
A looping hook to the body misses from Harris. McGenzy does a little dance to reset his feet.

McGenzy shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Harris but Harris pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Harris pulls out of a head kick attempt.

McGenzy dodges the punch combination from Harris.
McGenzy misses with a takedown attempt
and Harris counters with a series of strikes. McGenzy will be more careful next time no doubt.
Harris swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

McGenzy fails with the takedown
and Harris counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Harris stalks McGenzy and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into McGenzy's face. McGenzy staggers backwards, shaken.
McGenzy uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Harris.
McGenzy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Harris's waist but Harris gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McGenzy off to one side.
Harris fails to land with a series of punches.
Carl McGenzy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
McGenzy shoots for a double leg takedown but Harris sprawls well. He's pushed McGenzy's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ethan Harris comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Harris winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
