Griggs comes to the cage accompanied by Church by T-Pain. McCool is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: I'm Shipping Up to Boston. Peter McCool has the eye of the tiger tonight.

With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Deacon Griggs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Peter McCool!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griggs misses with an uppercut
enabling McCool to counter with a crisp jab.
A big right from McCool misses.
Griggs looks to land a right hand but McCool moved out of range.
McCool misses with a left hand
and Griggs counters with a right hand to the body.
McCool throws an off balance right hand
and Griggs counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Griggs gets a takedown into half guard.
McCool is pressing down on Griggs's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

McCool has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Griggs can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Griggs connects with a nice short shot to McCool's temple.

Griggs is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from McCool as he works his way to full guard.

McCool bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Griggs's guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
