PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mirko Cro Crop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cro Crop comes into the arena with PRIDE blaring out of the sound system. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and Dillan Fox.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick from Cro Crop lands but Walker takes it in his stride.
Cro Crop tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Walker stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Cro Crop.
Cro Crop fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Walker fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Walker needs to keep his hands up - Cro Crop had a free shot at his head there.

Walker fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cro Crop, pushing him back against the cage.
Cro Crop has had enough of the clinch but Walker keeps him there for the moment.
Walker has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Cro Crop is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Cro Crop wants to break free but Walker has control.
Walker wants a takedown but no success here.
Mirko Cro Crop has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Walker.
Cro Crop gets underhooks to prevent Walker's takedown attempt.
Cro Crop is pressed up against the cage. Walker has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Cro Crop down to the mat. Cro Crop avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Cro Crop keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Walker.
Cro Crop throws a sloppy head kick and Walker moves out of range easily.
Cro Crop pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cro Crop misses with a body kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cro Crop throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Walker doesn't manage to clinch there - Cro Crop circles away.
Walker takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Cro Crop stuffs the takedown.
Walker tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cro Crop swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Walker takes the fight into the clinch.
Walker changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Cro Crop fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Walker moves out of range of the strikes.
Mirko Cro Crop seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cro Crop lands a brutal head kick. Walker looks out on his feet and Cro Crop throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
