Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Master Splinter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenichi Shirahama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Shirahama's choice of entrance music: Fade To Black. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Shimada and Sosuke Kotani.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Splinter tries to land a front kick but Shirahama steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Splinter motions for Shirahama to come forward. Splinter throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Shirahama takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Shirahama shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Splinter manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Splinter looking for a sweep. Not yet Splinter, not yet.
Shirahama with a flurry of punches that miss.
Shirahama passes into half guard.
Splinter tries to get to full guard but Shirahama has control of the leg.
Shirahama throwing shots but Splinter is blocking nicely.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Splinter moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shirahama trying to control the position from guard on top but Splinter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Splinter not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Shirahama with a flurry of punches that miss.
Shirahama stands up over Splinter, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Splinter trying to keep a closed guard but Shirahama is proving a slippery customer.
Shirahama in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Shirahama stands and throws Splinter's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Shirahama tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Shirahama has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Splinter manages to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Shirahama seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Splinter is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
