Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between King Leonidas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Magatsu Taito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leonidas comes to the cage accompanied by Spartan Warriors. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
20 - 8 - 1, fighting out of New York, King Leonidas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
17 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Magatsu Taito!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, John Kavanagh and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taito throws a hook but Leonidas avoids it easily.
Leonidas tries to sprawl but Taito drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Taito is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Leonidas wants to get back to his feet.
Leonidas wants to improve his position but Taito is controlling well.
Leonidas is looking to escape.
Leonidas really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Taito is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Leonidas sees it coming and defends easily.
Leonidas pushes Taito off looking to stand but Taito dives back in and keeps control.
Leonidas kicks off Taito and gets to his feet.
Taito shoots in for a takedown but Leonidas shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Taito throws a right hand that Leonidas ducks under and follows up with a left that Leonidas also avoids with ease.
Taito throws a lazy right hand but Leonidas sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The fighters circling - Leonidas throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Taito throws a head kick but Leonidas moves out of range.
King Leonidas is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Taito uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Leonidas.
Taito throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Leonidas's waist but Leonidas gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Taito off to one side.
Leonidas throws a hook but Taito avoids it easily.
Taito fails with the takedown
enabling Leonidas to counter with a crisp jab.
King Leonidas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Magatsu Taito.
Taito with a lazy takedown attempt
and Leonidas counters with a stiff right hand.
Leonidas takes a swing at Taito's ribcage but misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Taito throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Leonidas tries to move into range but Taito moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Magatsu Taito seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Taito pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Leonidas chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Taito can pounce on him.
Leonidas tries to clinch but Taito is having none of it.
Leonidas stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Leonidas wants it to stay on the feet.
Taito tries to score with a low kick but Leonidas moves his leg out of the way.
Taito takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Taito moves out of range as Leonidas strikes.
Taito shoots and misses
and Leonidas counters with a straight right hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Taito throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Taito slips a jab and a cross from Leonidas.
Taito shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Leonidas is trying to defend but Taito finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Leonidas is trying to stand back up but Taito is controlling him
Taito thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Leonidas regains full guard. Nicely done.
Leonidas will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Leonidas is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Leonidas pushes a forearm under Taito's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Taito is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). King Leonidas!
