Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pierre Gustier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donyell Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pierre Gustier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Donyell Walker!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gustier avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Gustier gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Walker counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Walker content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Gustier moves into full guard.
Walker has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gustier is proving hard to escape from.
Walker missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Gustier wants to sweep but no luck.
Walker stops Gustier from standing up.

Walker gets to his feet. Gustier looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Walker closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Walker decides to stand up, so the ref orders Gustier to his feet.

Walker clinches.
Walker is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Gustier is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Walker is defending well.
Walker gets underhooks to prevent Gustier's takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pierre Gustier. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Walker has Gustier pushed against the cage.

Walker decides to pull guard.
Gustier trying to control the position from guard on top but Walker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Walker has his feet on Gustier's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Walker defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Gustier.

Walker has closed the distance and engaged Gustier in a clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Walker is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Walker drops down looking for an ankle pick but Gustier pulls his leg out and moves away.

Gustier tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Walker paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Gustier misses with a low kick as Walker jumps back.
Walker fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Pierre Gustier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Walker shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Gustier counters with a head kick that drops Walker to the mat! Walker scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gustier tries to close the distance and clinch but Walker swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Gustier shoots and misses

and Walker counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Gustier is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Walker is aware though and is defending well.
Gustier is breathing heavily.
Walker throws an elbow that misses. Gustier uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Walker's guard. Nice move by Gustier!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Walker has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Gustier looking to sit in guard and control but Walker gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Gustier avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Gustier is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Walker is controlling him.

Walker stands up and waves to Gustier to follow him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Gustier closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Walker tries to land a knee to the head but Gustier blocks with his arms.
Walker stalling.
Walker has had enough of the clinch but Gustier keeps him there for the moment.
Walker creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Gustier's defenses.
Walker crunches a lovely knee into Gustier's ribcage.

Walker wants to break free but Gustier has control.
Gustier is looking to take this one to the mat.
A frustrated look appears on Gustier's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Gustier keeps control of Walker as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Walker drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Walker is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Walker gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Gustier is trying to stand back up but Walker is controlling him
Ground and pound from Walker.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gustier is trying to control but can't.
Gustier flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Walker not doing much here.

Walker is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Gustier has managed to free his arm - good work.

Walker throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Walker is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gustier doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Walker.
Gustier trying to hold on to Walker's head to control him but Walker postures up.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gustier is pressing down on Walker's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Gustier tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Gustier working for a triangle but Walker defends it easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Walker gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Gustier has managed to clinch.

Walker pulls guard.
Walker is adopting a defensive guard.
Walker is looking to stand up but Gustier isn't so interested in that idea.

Walker throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Gustier postures up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Walker controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gustier postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Walker is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gustier, into his guard.

Walker avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Donyell Walker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Gustier slaps away a takedown attempt from Walker, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Gustier shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Walker sprawls well. Walker wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gustier gets slowly back to his feet.

Gustier looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Donyell Walker has got the better of the ground game so far.
Gustier is looking to take a break and control but Walker is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Walker regains full guard. Nicely done.

Walker has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gustier can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Walker wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Walker trying to keep a closed guard but Gustier is proving a slippery customer.
Walker is striking off his back. Gustier thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
Gustier prevents Walker from standing back up.

Gustier wants to take a breather but Walker is having none of it.
Walker is positioning himself well to prevent Gustier advancing to mount.
Walker misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Gustier stops Walker from getting back to his feet.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Gustier tries to stand and escape but Walker is controlling the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Gustier throws a wild body kick that Walker sees coming a mile off.

Walker gets a clinch.
Gustier lands a body shot.

Gustier pulls Walker into guard.
Walker is working Gustier over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Walker engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Walker cracks Gustier with a solid left hand.
Walker wants to control from the top but Gustier keeps moving.
Walker wants to get up but he can't break Gustier's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Donyell Walker is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Walker takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Walker gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Gustier tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Walker manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Gustier throws a series of strikes that have Walker backpedaling.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Walker tries to clinch there but Gustier circles away.
Gustier moves in looking to clinch but Walker pushes him off.
Gustier tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Walker manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Walker displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gustier.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Gustier moves in looking to clinch but Walker pushes him off.
Pierre Gustier has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Walker tries to clinch up but Gustier circles away and keeps his distance.

I would just about give that final round to Donyell Walker.
I've got Walker winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
