Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bill Shadow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Disamsam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bill Shadow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mark Disamsam!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Josh West and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shadow tries to clinch there but Disamsam circles away.
Disamsam moves out of range of the strikes.
Disamsam throws a right hand that Shadow ducks under and follows up with a left that Shadow also avoids with ease.
Shadow will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Disamsam fails to land with a series of punches.
Shadow showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Disamsam.
Disamsam keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Disamsam scores with a one two! Shadow had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Shadow shoots in looking for a takedown. Disamsam tries to sprawl out of it but Shadow keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Disamsam manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Disamsam tries a knee to the head but Shadow blocks it.
Disamsam tries to stall but Shadow uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

That was a close round but I would say that Bill Shadow will probably get the nod.

Disamsam shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Shadow eats them both and turns towards Disamsam to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Disamsam throws a nice looking combination but Shadow bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Disamsam connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Shadow momentarily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Shadow is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Disamsam is just riding it out for now. Shadow eventually gives up the hold.

We're going to have a standup here because Bill Shadow wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Shadow closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Shadow fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Disamsam sprawls well initially but Shadow persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Shadow is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Disamsam is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Shadow, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Bill Shadow spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
