Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mikov Kimbley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Kozlov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kimbley has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Mikov Kimbley looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Aleksandr Martynov and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kimbley misses with a two punch combination.
Kimbley is breathing heavily.
A bone on bone clash there as Kimbley blocks the leg kick.

Kozlov clinches.

Kozlov escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kozlov throws a head kick but Kimbley moves out of range.

Kimbley will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kozlov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kimbley as he avoids it easily.

Kozlov gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Kozlov shoots in for a takedown but Kimbley shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Kimbley can't find room to land a body shot as Kozlov controls the action.
Kimbley is trying to push Kozlov away but Kozlov has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Kozlov escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kozlov doesn't manage to clinch there - Kimbley circles away.
Kozlov throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Kimbley tries to keep at a distance but Kozlov has taken the fight into the clinch.
Kimbley wants to break the clinch but can't.

Kozlov fails to pull guard.
Kimbley wants to get back to striking at distance but Kozlov won't allow it.
Kozlov blocks an elbow strike from Kimbley.

Kozlov has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Kimbley clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Kimbley has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kimbley trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Let's hope that Kozlov has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Kimbley is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Ivan Kozlov dominated that round.

Kimbley rushes Kozlov and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Kimbley tries to move into range but Kozlov moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.


It looks like Mikov Kimbley has been cut.
Kozlov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kimbley pinned against the cage. Kimbley gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kozlov throws a jab when Kimbley was well out of range.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kozlov looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Kimbley!

Kimbley stalks Kozlov and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kozlov's face. Kozlov staggers backwards, shaken.

Kimbley looks to score with a jab to the body but Kozlov is just out of range.

Kozlov shoots in but no luck this time.
Kimbley throws a combination. Kozlov tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Kimbley shoots in looking for a takedown but Kozlov manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kimbley's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Kimbley throws a series of punches but Kozlov moves out of range.
Mikov Kimbley has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

and Kimbley counters with a two punch combo.
Kimbley connects with a high kick.
Kimbley throws a right hand that Kozlov ducks under and follows up with a left that Kozlov also avoids with ease.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kimbley throws a strike from the bottom but Kozlov passes into side control!
Ivan Kozlov is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Ivan Kozlov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kozlov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
