The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vassallo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Carver sprawls well. Carver wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Vassallo gets slowly back to his feet.
Vassallo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Carver pinned against the cage. Carver gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Vassallo looks gassed!
Vassallo gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Carver counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
