Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charles Menezes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dragon Tamer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Menezes comes to the cage accompanied by Charlinho, o menino que só queria estudar - Hermes & Renato. Dragon Tamer has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Charles Menezes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dragon Tamer!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Mauricio Rocha and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Menezes misses with a two punch combination.
Menezes throws a series of punches but Tamer moves out of range.
Menezes lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tamer circles away quickly and effectively.
Tamer is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

and Tamer counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Menezes's guard now.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Tamer drops back, looking for a kneebar! Menezes looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Menezes looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Menezes!

Menezes cracks Tamer with a big right hand but Tamer just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Menezes throws a nice looking combination but Tamer bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Menezes scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!


It looks like Dragon Tamer has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Menezes throws a nice looking combination but Tamer bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Tamer is pushing Menezes's head away, looking to escape. Menezes manages to hold on to the position though.

That was a close round but I would say that Charles Menezes will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Charles Menezes.
