Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andreas Daemonakos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andreas Daemonakos is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jacob Hill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andreas Daemonakos!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill throws a body punch but Daemonakos moves out of range.

Hill gets a double leg takedown into Daemonakos's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Hill wants to pass the guard but Daemonakos is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hill pushing down on Daemonakos's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Daemonakos is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Hill thows a huge punch but Daemonakos dodges it nicely.
Hill is taking a breather. Daemonakos says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Hill has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hill uses his free foot to push down on Daemonakos's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Daemonakos.
Daemonakos wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Hill takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hill has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

We're going to have a standup here because Jacob Hill wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Hill closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Hill works to advance to full mount. Daemonakos defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Hill pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Daemonakos is trying to stand.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hill content just to control the position here.

Hill tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Hill controlling the position easily from mount.
Daemonakos is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Daemonakos seems to have recovered his senses.
Hill punishing his opponent with strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hill lands a heavy elbow.
Daemonakos really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hill. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hill looking to control and managing it successfully.
Hill seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Daemonakos for as long as he can get away with.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Daemonakos defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Hill.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jacob Hill dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Hill gets a takedown into half guard.
Hill is pressing down on Daemonakos's thigh, looking to free his foot. Daemonakos is holding on for now.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Hill drops an elbow to the side of Daemonakos's head.
Hill controlling the action here.
Daemonakos is trying to stand.
Hill passes to full mount!

Hill landing punches.
Hill controlling the pace for now.

Hill connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Hill cracks Daemonakos with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jacob Hill!
Jacob Hill very nearly forgot to thank [WOT] DTK Designs (Laundry) amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
