Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Juan Sebastien Veron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mirco Polimeno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Veron looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Polimeno with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Polimeno can do anything to dispel that myth.

Veron is working to tighten is grip on Polimeno's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Polimeno has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Veron is really squeezing tight and eventually Polimeno passes out! Veron breaks the hold and jumps onto the ropes to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Juan Sebastien Veron decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
