Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Polo Cambodia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Kier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Polo Cambodia has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Polo Cambodia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Don Kier!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Kier with that takedown attempt.
A combination from Cambodia does no damage.
Kier shoots in but Cambodia avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Kier tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Cambodia paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kier shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Polo Cambodia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Don Kier.
Kier shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Cambodia as he avoids it easily.
A jab from Cambodia finds it's way through Kier's defenses.
Cambodia attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Cambodia wants to clinch up but Kier keeps it at a distance.
Cambodia tests Kier's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Kier shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cambodia as he jumps to the side.

Cambodia is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kier's half guard.
Cambodia scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Cambodia not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Kier is trying to stand.
Cambodia seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kier does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Kier looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Cambodia is controlling the pace.
Cambodia looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kier with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Kier is trying to maintain the position but Cambodia is very close to passing his half guard.

Cambodia stands up from Kier's guard - Cambodia perhaps looking for a knockout.

Cambodia jabs Kier right on the nose. Kier blinks but takes it well.
Cambodia fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kier manages to avoid it.

Kier gets the takedown into side control.
Kier prevents Cambodia from escaping the position.
Kier tries to stand but Cambodia is controlling his head.
Kier in side control, throwing shots but Cambodia defends.
Kier tries to move into full mount but can't pass Cambodia's legs.
Cambodia is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Cambodia is trying to control Kier's posture but Kier avoids it.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kier looks up at the clock and then as Cambodia takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Kier smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Cambodia tries to improve position but can't.
Kier trying to control the position but Cambodia is working away.
Cambodia tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kier wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kier creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Cambodia sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Polo Cambodia dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Kier bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Kier will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kier tries to move into range but Cambodia moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Kier fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cambodia avoids it really well and circles away.

Kier struggles to land a body shot inside as Cambodia controls his hands.

Cambodia throws out a loose jab but Kier uses good head movement to avoid it.
Cambodia avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kier is defended easily by Cambodia.

Kier tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Cambodia swivels and escapes.
Cambodia lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Don Kier is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Cambodia looks for a takedown but Kier sprawls well.
Kier shoots in for a double leg but Cambodia sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Cambodia swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Cambodia throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kier tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Cambodia is in Kier's guard.
Kier is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Cambodia not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kier is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Cambodia off and has taken his back!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Kier closes the distance and clinches up with Cambodia, looking for a takedown. Kier pushes Cambodia against the ropes but Cambodia circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Kier gets caught napping as Cambodia dives in and scores a takedown. Kier manages to retain guard.

Cambodia decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Kier shoots in and drives through. Cambodia sprawls well.

Kier takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Kier takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Cambodia shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Cambodia was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Kier is squirming around, avoiding Cambodia's attempts to control the action.

Cambodia postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Kier looks a forlorn figure.
Cambodia can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kier is looking to escape.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
