Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Gunner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zdravko Dukic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zdravko Dukic acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunner tries to score with a low kick but Dukic moves his leg out of the way.
Gunner misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gunner ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Nice shot lands for Dukic.
Dukic takes a swing at Gunner's ribcage but misses.
A nice inside leg kick there by Gunner. That's going to slow Dukic down.
Dukic ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gunner moves away.
Dukic moves out of range of the body kick.
Gunner throws a wild body kick that Dukic sees coming a mile off.
Gunner connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Dukic on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Gunner throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gunner changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dukic tries to avoid it but Gunner manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dukic to the ground. Dukic escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gunner turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Gunner throws a leg kick but Dukic sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
No luck for Gunner with that takedown attempt.
Gunner shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Dukic eats them both and turns towards Gunner to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Gunner shoots in and drives through. Dukic sprawls well.

Dukic comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Gunner feints and then cracks Dukic's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Dukic down.

Dukic turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Dukic stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gunner takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Dukic uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Gunner.

Dukic throws a body kick that misses.
Dukic digs a good body shot into Gunner's ribs.
A chopping leg kick lands by Gunner.
Gunner lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Gunner connects with a nice looking jab.
Dukic throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Sloppy strikes from Gunner. Those never looked like landing.
Gunner shoots in looking for a takedown but Dukic manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gunner's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Gunner takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Gunner is breathing heavily.
Dukic uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Gunner.
Dukic throws a jab but it's blocked by Gunner.

Thomas Gunner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dukic drives through and clinches with Gunner against the cage.
Gunner avoids a wild elbow strike from Dukic.
Gunner dodges an elbow strike from Dukic.
Dukic lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Gunner backwards.
Dukic is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Gunner is defending well for now.

Gunner jumps guard and drags Dukic to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Dukic avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Gunner is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Gunner isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Dukic stacks Gunner on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Dukic!

Gunner manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dukic is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Dukic's corner calls for a 1-2. Dukic obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gunner walks straight into a right hand from Dukic - that's dropped him! Dukic jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Gunner from any more punishment! Gunner complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

A relieved looking Zdravko Dukic thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
