Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tug Speedman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Volk Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Volk Khan has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tug Speedman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Volk Khan!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Aafke Stam and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khan lands a jab to the head.
Speedman displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Khan.
Speedman takes a swing at Khan's ribcage but misses.
Speedman throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Khan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Speedman misses with a looping right.
Speedman fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Khan on the side of the head.
Speedman cracks Khan with a good jab.
Speedman works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Speedman swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Speedman tries to bum rush Khan with a series of wild strikes but Khan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Speedman ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Speedman thows a body shot but no joy.
Speedman throws a big shot that misses.
Speedman misses with an uppercut. Khan saw that one coming.
Speedman misses with a body shot.

Khan shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Khan was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Speedman keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Khan is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Speedman is surviving well by controlling Khan's body position as best he can.

Khan swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Speedman is now in Khan's guard. A big mistake from Khan there, giving up the dominant position!

Khan is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Khan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Speedman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Speedman manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Khan looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Speedman slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Speedman wanted to stand there but Khan had control of the position.
Khan can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Speedman controls the pace.

Speedman has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Khan is proving hard to escape from.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Khan not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Khan looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Speedman trying to control the position from guard on top but Khan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Speedman wants to stand but Khan is controlling his posture from full guard.

Khan working for a triangle but Speedman defends it easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Khan is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Speedman is aware though and is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Volk Khan dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Khan fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Khan trying to pass the guard but Speedman defending well.
Speedman tries to kick Khan off but Khan keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Khan seems to be looking for submissions.
Khan uses his free foot to push down on Speedman's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Speedman.

Khan is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Speedman to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Speedman shrugs it off.

Khan looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Khan swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Speedman is now in Khan's guard. A big mistake from Khan there, giving up the dominant position!
Volk Khan has got the better of the ground game so far.
Khan keeping moving, preventing Speedman from controlling successfully.
Speedman has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Khan is proving hard to escape from.

Khan is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Speedman gets to his feet. Khan looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Speedman ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Khan moves away.
Speedman rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Khan counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Khan keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Speedman.
Speedman misses with a body shot.
Speedman misses with a looping right.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Speedman scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Khan dodges the punch combination from Speedman.
Nice defenses there by Khan.

Khan closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Speedman did well to prevent Khan getting side control.
Khan wants to pass the guard but Speedman is defending well.

Khan is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Speedman is just riding it out for now. Khan eventually gives up the hold.

Speedman is defending against the submission attempts here by Khan.

Khan wants to work for an arm triangle but Speedman is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Khan is trying to work for a kimura but Speedman is defending well.
Khan is trying to control the action in half guard but Speedman is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Volk Khan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Speedman lands a body shot.
Khan doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Speedman counters with a right hand to the body.
Speedman uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Khan fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Speedman misses the shot to the body.
A big left from Speedman misses.
Khan takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Speedman looks to score with a jab to the body but Khan is just out of range.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Khan.
Tug Speedman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Volk Khan.
A telegraphed right hand from Speedman misses the target.
Speedman misses with a body shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Speedman's corner calls for a 1-2. Speedman obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Speedman thuds a left hand into Khan's body.
Khan takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Speedman throws the left hand but Khan avoids the punch easily.
Speedman fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Khan blocks a jab.
Speedman throws a lazy right hand but Khan sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Speedman keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Speedman misses with an uppercut.
Khan defending well as Speedman loads up on a big left hand.

Khan rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Speedman counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Khan thinking.
Speedman scores with a jab to the head.

Khan feints and as Speedman raises his hands in defense, Khan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Khan has gone for a leg lock! Speedman slips out almost immediately though and dives into Khan's guard.
Speedman passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Speedman content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Khan is not content to let Speedman control the position.
Speedman laying and praying for a moment but Khan takes advantage and regains half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Speedman wants to stand up but Khan is controlling the position.
Speedman is thwarting Khan's attempts to control the position.
Speedman is looking to take a break and control but Khan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Speedman is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Speedman wants to pass the guard but Khan is defending well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Speedman stalling.
Speedman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Khan on the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Tug Speedman wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Speedman throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Khan shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Speedman gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Khan trying to control the position from guard on top but Speedman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tug Speedman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Volk Khan is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

And that's the end of the fight!
Tug Speedman showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Khan has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
