Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between James Pardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Da Cougar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pardo comes to the cage accompanied by Don't Stop Believing. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Pardo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Da Cougar!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pardo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cougar's waist but Cougar gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pardo off to one side.

Pardo gets a clinch.

Cougar breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Horrible takedown by Pardo or perhaps it was just good defense by Cougar which made him look bad.
Pardo misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Pardo shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Cougar wants to improve his position but Pardo is controlling well.
Cougar is not content to let Pardo control the position.
Pardo is thwarting Cougar's attempts to control the position.
Cougar is refusing to be controlled, as Pardo sits in half guard.
Cougar is looking to control Pardo's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Cougar avoid being mounted?

Cougar wants to improve his position but Pardo is controlling well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Pardo takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Da Cougar is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Pardo fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Pardo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pardo on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Pardo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cougar.
Pardo is breathing heavily.
Cougar bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Pardo's head backwards.

Pardo is rocked!
Pardo chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Cougar can pounce on him.
Oh Pardo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pardo throws a jab but it's blocked by Cougar.

Pardo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Pardo chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Cougar can pounce on him.
Pardo seems to have got his legs back now.
Cougar ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cougar drops Pardo with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Pardo! Cougar dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
