Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Bishop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mogul Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Kevin Bishop!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Mogul Khan!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Colin Fray and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bishop defending well as Khan loads up on a big left hand.
Bishop digs a good hook to Khan's body.
Bishop ducks right into an uppercut from Khan.

Bishop shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Khan's guard.
Khan is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Bishop throws a big right hand that misses.

Bishop controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Khan is looking to control Bishop's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Khan avoid being mounted?

Khan is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bishop pulls his head out easily.
Bishop takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Bishop's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Khan with the active half guard here but Bishop passes nicely into side control.
Khan wants to control but Bishop postures up.

Bishop cracks Khan with a big right hand but Khan just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Khan tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bishop wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Khan is looking for a sweep.
Bishop moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Khan tries to improve position but can't.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Khan gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Well, if Bishop is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Khan is looking to control Bishop's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Khan avoid being mounted?
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Khan is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bishop's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bishop's back!
Well, with Khan on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Bishop is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Khan is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
You can see the frustration on Bishop's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Khan is trying to stick to Bishop's back but Bishop is turning into Khan. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Khan's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Bishop.
Bishop has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bishop got a little sloppy there for a moment and Khan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bishop has managed to get both his arms back between Khan's legs - danger averted.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Bishop tries to keep at a distance but Khan has taken the fight into the clinch.

Bishop throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Bishop is pushing Khan up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Khan seems to have recovered his senses.

Bishop stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Come on Bishop - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Khan tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Bishop just stands there and leans against the cage.

Bishop breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Bishop stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Bishop cracks a nice hook into Khan's ribs.
Bishop punishes Khan's body with a nice straight punch.
Bishop getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Khan takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Bishop connects with a solid leg kick.
Bishop is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Khan can do to turn this around?
Bishop throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Khan stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Bishop thuds a left hand into Khan's body.

Bishop lands a big head kick that sends Khan tumbling to the mat! Bishop takes a step backwards and waves Khan back to his feet - he wants the finish!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
That kick from Bishop tenderised Khan's leg. Khan is trying to keep his angry face on.
Bishop throws a monster overhand right that drops Khan! Bishop follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kevin Bishop!
During a confident post fight interview, Kevin Bishop thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
