Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Happy Camper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Tompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Sano.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tompson shoots in and drives through. Camper sprawls well.
Tompson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Camper misses with a body kick.
Tompson keeps the fight on the outside.
Tompson connects with a high kick.
Tompson misses with an uppercut.
Tompson tries to clinch but Camper moves away

and Camper counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Tompson's guard now.

Camper drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Tompson dives on top into guard.
Tompson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Camper has his foot on Tompson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tompson works his way back into a safe position though.

Camper has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Tompson is fighting to break Camper's control of his arms but Camper is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Camper had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Tompson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Camper Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Tompson's back instead.

Camper has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Tompson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Camper.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Horrible takedown by Camper or perhaps it was just good defense by Tompson which made him look bad.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Camper is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Tompson has managed to free his arm - good work.

Camper working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tompson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tompson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Tompson lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Camper manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Tompson manages to get himself to full guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Tompson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Tompson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

That was a close second round but I would say that Happy Camper will probably get the nod.
That's time! Camper's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Camper is stalling here. Tompson is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Camper seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Tompson has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Tompson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Camper uses from the top position.

Camper slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Camper, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
