The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Janice lands a nice leg kick that just misses Jones's sensitive parts.

Janice throws out a leg kick but Jones moves out of range and Janice only half commits.
Janice looks to land a right hand but Jones moved out of range.

Jones jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Janice manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Jones throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Conan Jones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Jones swings around for an armbar but Janice sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Jones's guard.

Jones is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Janice defends well.
Janice is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Jones has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Janice is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Jones yanks on the arm and Janice is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Jones.
