The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smith moves into the clinch successfully.

Zod tries to bum rush Smith with a series of wild strikes but Smith uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Smith counters with a low kick, right behind Zod 's knee.
Smith takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Smith moves away from the strike by Zod.
Zod throws a jab but it's blocked by Smith.
Smith bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Zod scores with a nice strike.
Zod is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Smith lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Smith.
