The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans fails with an attempt to clinch.

Wernicki closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Evans quickly recovers to half guard.

Wernicki postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Evans is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Wernicki, into his guard.
Wernicki lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Evans!
Wernicki takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
Wernicki is throwing strikes by Evans counters by rolling into a better position. After a scramble, Evans regains half guard.
