Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bobcat Gremlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duane McBride (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bobcat Gremlin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Duane McBride!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gremlin cracks a nice hook into McBride's ribs.
Gremlin moves in looking to clinch but McBride pushes him off.
McBride swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Gremlin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gremlin wants it to stay on the feet.
Gremlin tries to close the distance and clinch but McBride swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
McBride swats away the attempt to clinch by Gremlin.
McBride avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
McBride shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gremlin as he avoids it easily.
A cross from Gremlin lands.
McBride shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. McBride showed some decent athleticism there.
McBride slips a nice elbow through Gremlin's hands, connecting with Gremlin's forehead.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

McBride thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gremlin's head.
McBride lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
McBride landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McBride lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
McBride seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
McBride throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
McBride throwing shots but Gremlin is blocking nicely.
McBride thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
McBride wants to free his trapped foot but Gremlin is holding on for dear life with his legs.

McBride tries to pass to full mount but Gremlin defends it.
McBride slips a nice elbow through Gremlin's hands, connecting with Gremlin's forehead.
McBride throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
McBride uses his free foot to push down on Gremlin's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Gremlin.
McBride lands with some strikes.
It looks like Bobcat Gremlin has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
McBride fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
McBride raining down hammerfists from mount.
McBride has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Gremlin's face.
McBride landing strikes, looking to finish!
Gremlin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McBride on the ground.

McBride lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Gremlin hang on?

McBride has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Bobcat Gremlin's cut is getting worse.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McBride cracks Gremlin with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Oh Gremlin is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jeez, Bobcat Gremlin's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Bobcat Gremlin's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Duane McBride!
Our winner, Duane McBride, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
