PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Inti Raimi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ric Slobberknocker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raimi throws a right and a left that Slobberknocker avoids nicely.
Slobberknocker scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Raimi scores with a punch to the head.
Raimi on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Raimi slips a jab from Slobberknocker.
Slobberknocker lands a slapping body shot.
Slobberknocker fails to land with a series of punches.
Slobberknocker slips a jab from Raimi.
Slobberknocker takes one to the chin there.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Raimi swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Raimi throws a sloppy head kick and Slobberknocker moves out of range easily.
Slobberknocker rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Raimi moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Raimi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Slobberknocker swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Slobberknocker throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Slobberknocker dodges the punch combination from Raimi.
Slobberknocker jabbing away but nothing is landing.

A looping hook to the body misses from Slobberknocker. Raimi does a little dance to reset his feet.
Raimi closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
A punch lands to the side of Slobberknocker 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Raimi lands with a kick to the temple. Slobberknocker shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Raimi misses with an uppercut.
Slobberknocker cracks Raimi with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Slobberknocker throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Raimi counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Raimi avoids a punch combination nicely.
Good standup being displayed there by Raimi as he connects with a hook.

Raimi clinches with his opponent.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Raimi ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Raimi no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Slobberknocker trying to control the position from guard on top but Raimi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Raimi doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Raimi is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Slobberknocker is aware though and is defending well.

Raimi had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Slobberknocker defends it easily.
Raimi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Slobberknocker working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Slobberknocker has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Raimi to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Slobberknocker is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Raimi pulls down on the head and he's put Slobberknocker to sleep! This one is all over!
